O level, formally known as GCE O level, is an internationally recognized qualification equivalent to Matric in Pakistan. You have to take a minimum of eight O Level subjects to be able to get admission in Pakistani universities after your A level, which must include O Level Islamiyat, O level Pakistan Studies, and O Level Urdu. O Level is also an internationally recognized qualification. You do your A level after completing O level, and your A level subjects combination doesn’t need to be necessarily related to your O level subjects. In Pakistan, O level is usually a two-year qualification based on grade 9 and grade 10. However, like A Level, it can also be completed in a single year.
